Kona Coast Resort
The Kona Coast Resort at Keauhou Gardens is a 5-star resort located on the north end of Keauhou Bay in Kailua-Kona, Big Island, Hawaii - approximately four and a half miles south of the Kailua-Kona Town Center. Kona Coast Resort has an inviting ocean view, wonderful recreation facilities and spectacular natural beauty; with best of the “Big Island” is at your door. You will enjoy two swimming pools, three Jacuzzis, sauna, children’s pool and playground, tennis courts, volleyball, fitness facility, and a putting green. Play the adjacent Kona Country Club 36-hole golf course. Head out to sea for some of the best sport fishing in the Pacific or surf crystalline tropical waters. Visit an active volcano from on the ground or above in a small plane. The geographical diversity found within easy distance of the Kona Coast is as remarkable as it is exhilarating.
Keauhou Gardens refers to the fact that the resort has 21 acres of beautiful manicured gardens. There are 30 buildings with 240 units built in three construction phases starting in the early 1980s. Phase I (Keauhou Gardens with 112 units) has 44 privately owned units of which our condo (unit 7106 is one). The remaining units, and all those in Phases II & III are time share rentals, as are 68 of the units in Phase I. The resort is surrounded by the Kona Country Club's Ocean Course. A short walk across Ali’i Dr is the Keauhou Shopping Center with many shops including a supermarket and restaurants.

Hawaii Dream Condos at Kona Coast Resort/Keauhou Gardens Policies Number of Guests: - The condo base rental rate is for 4 guests but it can accommodate up to 8 guests using three bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room. The fee for extra guests above 4 is $15/person/night.
- Children under two years of age are guests but are not included in the rental charge.
Deposit and Payment: - A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rental amount must be received to confirm a reservation.
- Full payment of the rental balance due is required no less than 30 days prior to the check-in date.
- A security deposit of $250.00 is also required and will be credited back within 14 days of checkout based on the condition of the condo.
Cancellations: - Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the check-in date can have the deposit applied to a stay at the condo within one year of the original check-in date.
- Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the check-in date will forfeit all deposits.
- Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the check-in date will forfeit all deposits and rental balance due payments.
Cleaning Fees: - All reservations have a check-out cleaning fee of $170.00.
- Stays of more than 10 days will have additional interim cleaning fees every ten days. For example, if you had reserved the condo for 28 days, you would be charged for three cleanings total - two interim cleanings and one check-out clean.
Check-In/Checkout: - Check-In Time is at 3:00 PM.
- Checkout Time is at 11:00 AM.
- We cannot accommodate earlier check-ins or check-outs because we often have parties departing and arriving on the same day.
Air Conditioning: - Air conditioning is available at a rate of $15 per day. Air conditioning is required from June 1st through October 31st and is optional for all other dates.
General Policies: - Please make sure that all keys are left behind at the condo. We charge a $25.00 replacement fee for each lost key.
- Our condo is a non-smoking unit. If you need to smoke, please do so outside of the condo.
- We allow a maximum of eight overnight guests in the condo. With more than four guests, a $15 fee per additional guest is charged per day.
- We charge a fee of $15.00 for any missing beach or bath towels upon checkout.
